Intef VI

Sejemra Upmaat – Intef, o Intef VI, fue un faraón de la dinastía XVII que gobernó c. 1570-1560 a. C.,[1] durante el segundo periodo intermedio de Egipto.
Gobernó en Tebas y era hijo de Sobekemsaf, y hermano de Intef VII, como muestran las inscripciones grabadas en su sarcófago.
Intef VI e Intef VII, fueron hijos de un gobernante llamado Sobekemsaf, probablemente su predecesor Sobekemsaf II, basándose en una inscripción de la jamba de la puerta de un templo de la dinastía XVII, hallada en Gebel Intef.[2]
En el Canon Real de Turín (11.10) es ilegible su nombre y el periodo de reinado.
Fue enterrado probablemente en una tumba en la necrópolis de Dra Abu el-Naga, aunque su tumba no ha sido localizada; posiblemente está situada en la zona donde fueron encontrados los restos de la pirámide de la tumba de su hermano Intef VII, en 2001.

Sekhemrewepmaat Intef VI (or Antef VI) was an Egyptian king of the Seventeenth dynasty of Egypt, who lived during the Second Intermediate Period, when Egypt was ruled by multiple kings.
He ruled from Thebes, and was probably buried in a tomb in the necropolis. His royal coffin, Louvre E 3019, was discovered in the 19th century and found to preserve an inscription which reveals that this king's brother Nebkheperre Intef VII buried – and thus succeeded – him.[1]Sobekemsaf I based on an inscription from a door jamb from a 17th dynasty temple at Gebel Antef.[2]Dra' Abu el-Naga' where the pyramid tomb of his brother Intef VII was found in 2001.
